Morland House

The Studio

The Studio Morland, next door to Morland House, is an Arts, Wellbeing & Leadership studio offering a range of creative and wellbeing sessions and is available to hire for group bookings and for workshop sessions during your stay when booked in advance. In conjunction with Morland House, residential courses can be arranged, with the use of the Studio for art and practical sessions.

Sessions include: yoga, breath work & meditation, singing, drawing from nature, bullet journaling, wellbeing and personal leadership sessions, movement and dance workshops, ukulele sessions, sewing, coil pot and clay making, plus more.

The Studio is a Community Interest Company: profits go back into the community programme. Our aim is to create a ‘safe space for creative exploration’ and we support our local communities by connecting and inspiring, alleviating a sense of rural isolation and supporting physical and mental wellbeing. We do this through our programme of activities, which includes funded programmes such as our monthly ‘Creative Cuppa’ a dementia friendly craft session; a Saturday Art Club for young people - part of the National Saturday Club and the only club representing such a vast area across the north; and Creative Thinkers - a series of talks on art, philosophy and life, featuring artists and creatives who have achieved inspired projects and diverse ways of working. We also hold one-off creative sessions and community celebrations. Our private weekly sessions include yoga; physiotherapy-led Pilates; sound baths, and sports massage and muscle injury treatment, and in addition The Studio facilitates coaching and mentoring sessions, business hire, team away days and retreats.
